Running for Reeshii - Cardiff Half Marathon October 2022
Donna Hartley
My Story
I'm taking on Cardiff Half Marathon in October 2022 in support of brainstrust and the brain tumour community.
Earlier this year my beautiful friend Reesh passed away from cancer after being diagnosed with a brain tumour less than a year before.
She was a force to be reckoned with and never shyed away from a challenge, so to honour her memory, and raise some money to hopefully help others that find themselves in a similar situation, I'll be running the Cardiff half to raise some money for the Brains Trust.
I am most definitely not a natural runner, nor am I an experienced one! I've never run further than 7 miles and currently haven't run at all for 6 months! So this is definitely going to be a challenge. But I'm hoping that your kind donations will help keep my training (should probably start that) on track.
30 people in the UK will be diagnosed with a brain tumour today. For them and their loved ones, the road ahead looks scary and uncertain. I'm taking on this challenge to ensure that every person who hears to words 'you have a brain tumour' has access to the support they need to have their best possible day, everyday.
